It's that time again! And this time a birthday was involved! XD::
Monday was pretty vague, I barely recall what happened that day. I think I watched some Cutie Honey or something...
Tuesday was actually pretty fun. After work we met up with Jen and went to Ihops for dinner...or should I say breakfast? I don't why but I see breakfast dishes and they look far more appetizing than the dinner courses, so I ordered a breakfast dinner that day. Then me, Rob, Jesse and Jen went back to Jesse's place and we watched "Warriors of heaven and earth". Wendsday was pretty fun too. We first watched Star wars episode 3 with Briar, another friend of ours. Then Matt came over and we played some arcade games on the XBOX. Thursday was the day that I made a record. I saw three movies in a row that day. First I watched the Captain America movie that Mike gave me, then I watched Pleasantville, then to end the day we watched "Star trek IV: The voyage fun". Friday was really fun too. After dinner at the buffet, we went to see "Charlie and the chocolate factory". After that wonderful evening, we went back to Jesse's and watched even more movies! We saw Resident evil apocalypse then Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow.
Saturday was a pretty dissapointing day though. I invited my cousin from Lawrence, Mass to spend a day with the Lowthers. The thing is that he never came because according to him he was very busy that day and couldn't make it. What hurts me the most is the trouble that they went through. They were cleaning, coooking and running around to please my cousin and his wife, only to drop out at the last moment. I felt really bad and dissapointed that day :( . Since we did nothing me and Jesse just played Phantasy star online then watched this Asian drama called "Last life on the universe".
Sunday (today) was a really fun day, you know why?....IT WAS MY FREAKING BIRTHDAY! :D!!
We did a lot of stuff for my birthday. First, we went to the Foxfire grille for birthday breakfast. I got this really amusing birthday card from Jesse's parents with 25 bucks in it! (SCORE!). Then we went shopping because Mike wanted some stuff. Then we met up with Jack and Devin and headed out for the beach in Maine/York. We explored around the beach, we played some DDR and other arcade games, we saw the chocolate factory (no Wonka though :_( ) and hanged out. Then we went for birthday dinner at Banana's bar and grill. I got 10 dollars off my dinner and a free sundae! (SCORE AGAIN!). I admit I was kinda worried that I would get like a big chorus of waiters and waitresses singing "Happy birthday" as loudly as possible. But thankfully it did not happen. After taking some really weird and funny pics, we headed out to this ice cream place the guys really like. And to end an eventful day, the Lowthers baked me a cake and sang happy birthday. Aaaaawww... :) .
So yeah that was my week, not that eventful but I had fun. Although a couple of things happened to me that I want to make note of here:
First, I finally told Omegaweapon off. I swear ever since I came to the US all he did was send me PMs asking for stuff, giving torrents to download, asking what stuff I got so he could borrow it from me and even wanted me to create an account for a website just so he could download the stuff he wanted. I've been pretty patient with him since the first day since I decided to take blazing's view that Omegaweapon was really just a kid that was really bored, had no means to entertain himself with and lived in a small, quiet and boring mountain town. The thing is that at times he got way out of control, randomly coming to my house just so he could borrow stuff or take something. And whenever me and blazing wanted to go to his place he would be quick to shoot down the idea. Then there are many things that made me think about Omega's true intentions...First, whenever we tried to get some contact info he never gives it. Also, he doesn't have a phone number nor his family supposedly has a phone...Uuuuh you mean to tell me that you don't have one of the most basic things in modern living? The more that I talked with the guys about it the more it made me think about the kind of person Omegaweapon is.
So after I got like the umpteen PM by Omega, I told him to back away. I told him that he was getting really annoying, that I am not just a source to get free anime from and that I am a human being with needs, thoughts, a brain and a heart. I haven't gotten the response from him yet, but I just don't want to see him again and I don't care if blazing gets mad at me for doing so, he never had to stand the crap I got from Omega...
So here are the weekly stats!
People I have met:
Briar: Met her last year, but saw her again this Wendsday
Movies I have seen:
Warriors of heaven and earth: A really fun martial arts movie. It was a bit cliched at times but it was really fun.
Captain America the movie: I thought this was a fun movie. Sure it got cheesy at times, especially with all the 90s influences in there (the clothes, the music and such), but it was all good fun. I really would be interested to see how they handle a new Captain America movie in a post 9/11, George Bush america...
Pleasantville: This was a movie I remembered not to long ago and wanted to make an obsercation on. You see, I was intrigued by the aspect of how the character went from B&W to color. After seeing, the movie is definitely about the constant battle between order and chaos. Pleasantville basically represented a monotonous order that is perfect and that even the smallest change affects the entire universe. The two main characters from the 90s represent chaos, a more realistic way of seeing things. So when chaos was brought onto perfect, it disrupted order, thus sending everything into chaos. The reason I believe why the characters and everything in Pleasantville changed into color is because there is beauty in chaos. Chaos is wild, unexpected and at times captivating, so when the characters discovered the beauty of chaos they turned into colored people. The B&W represented the monotony that sometimes extreme order brings. An excellent movie!
Star trek IV The voyage home: A really awesome and fun Star trek movie. This movie had a really unique premise that had it been done by someone else it would've been a complete disaster. I absolutely LOVE the dialogue and one liners in this movie!!
"Excuse, have you seen the nuclear base in Alameda. We are looking for the nuclear wessels!"
"Hello computer!"
"Who gets the bad news?'
"Double dumbass on you!!"
XD::::::::::::::
Charlie and the chocolate factory: An awesome movie, one of the best remakes of any movie/book I have seen all year. There are so many things done right in this movie that it almost puts the original Willy Wonka movie to shame. True the movie wasn't perfect as I thought some elements were off here and there, but overall one of the best movies Tim Burton has ever done!
Resident Evil Apocalypse: A fun, if brainless at times (no pun intended) action/horror movie. This is a movie that you really need to have an open mind to appreciate it. This movie is even worse for the hardcore RE fans!!
Sky captain and the world of tomorrow: A really nice movie. Really captured the look, feel and cliches of the old movie serials. It is also in this movie that we discovered someone actually hairier than Jesse... O_O
Last life on the universe: An asian drama/romance movie. Moved really slow and akward at times, but pretty good.
Games I have played:
Phantasy star online
F-zero GX
Dead or alive 2
Dead or alive Xtreme beach volleyball
Dance Dance revolution
Old arcade games on XBOX
Random arcade games at the arcade in Maine/York

I'm just curious to see if Omega will ever reply, or if things will never be the same between you after this PM :P
To be honest, if he gets really bitter and doesn't want to see me again I wouldn't that hurt. I treated him with the kidness and respect that all of my friends had, but the only thing he cared about me were the anime that I had.
I already have friends that care for me, so if omegaweapon is gone from my life for good it wouldn't be that much of a loss.
