It was all going well, got all my recent packages by the local mail carrier, it always ends up at the nearby post office, walking distance from my place, after they try to deliver it once. Sure, it means I always get my packages a day after they were actually delivered, but at least I get them the next day without fault.
But now I get this package, sent by UPS. Sure, it got here real fast ( in just 2 days ), but what do I get on my door when I come back home? "Attempt #1, will try again tomorrow". Ok. No. I won't be there tomorrow, I can't be there tomorrow, I WORK. Why do you expect most households to have someone just doing NOTHING at home all day, just to receive your packages? So, ok, I can call them and sort this out.
I call the phone number on the slip, and after going through the whole pre-recorder message, I realize that it won't get me anywhere; it's basically telling me to either be there tomorrow or fuck off and go on the website.
So I go on the website. Enter my tracking number, and it says I can decide to drop the package off somewhere so I can pick it up. This is usually what I do with specialized package deliveries, since they'll never drop it off at the local post office. But wait, what's this, this one tells me my only option for a drop off is an HOUR AND A HALF AWAY using public transportation. Go suck a lemon. Oh? I can call this other support number! Let's do it!
After being transfered because the only option that seemed logical to me wasn't the right one, I get this cool guy who tells me I can have the package sent to a nearby UPS Store... for a fee. But I don't feel like wasting an evening, so I tell him it doesn't matter. Just as he's about to find the closest option, my phone dies. Batteries out, and I didn't notice before it was too late because I forgot to take it out of silent mode. Cool beans.
I charge it for a bit and call again. This time I get a guy who barely speaks french, I tell him my situation and he says I can indeed have them send the package to another UPS Store nearby... but I have to call the UPS Store near me first, ask them to ship the package to their store, and then... wait what? I have to call you back after that? This guy's making no sense. On top of that, he says I have to go look for the nearest UPS Store to my location by myself, on the website... I get confused, give up and go on the website.
So I find a store nearby, but, but it doesn't give me its phone number. What the SHIT. Why not? How am I supposed to call them if you're not giving me the goddamned number? I search a while and confirm that the website won't help me even if it's the last thing it does.
So I call the support number again, this time choosing the right number to get to the right department. I'll just ask them for that store phone number. It's closed now, but I can call them early tomorrow and hopefully have them ship the package before they fail at their second attempt at delivering it to my place. I get a new recorded message this time that mentions stuff that I might wanna know before actually connecting me to someone, but then I hear the message say "sorry, we will not give away the phone numbers of the UPS Stores", and that's when I lose all hopes, open my bag of Halloween Skittles and eat my emotions.
Because of these shitheads, I'm now stuck wasting my lunch time going to some UPS Store to ask them to ship the package to their store so I can come pick it up ( if I'm lucky ) the next day and lose yet another lunch time.
AMAZING SERVICE, GUYS.
Gaaaah I'm so behind on my photo posts. Ok, so here's my first batch of Halloween photos from our trip to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party in DCA on October 2. I met up with the girls at the D*sneyland Hotel, where we changed into our costumes. The kinda overall theme for the night was Fairies and Neverland.

Starting off with Kat and Victoria!
( Pixie Dust all around! )Next I'll post photos from my D*sney World trip with Kat and Jen!
