So my big "project" this past summer was getting a Giselle dress made. The funniest thing is that I LOVE Giselle's pink Mucha gown that she wears in the beginning animated portion of the film, but I really hate the color pink. I guess I just love the design of the dress so much, I was able to overlook the color. XD

I hunted down all the fabric myself in just one trip to the LA garment district. My seamstress did an amazing job of putting it together, I love how it turned out. I was able to find an awesome wig piece from Granada Wigs in San Diego. Since Dan already had an Edward costume made from the previous year, I begged him to dress up with me. XD

I've been dreaming of a true love's kiss )

Mwahahaha. So that concludes all my Comic-Con photos from this year. As for what we're doing next year, I have no idea! I guess we'll see when it gets closer to next year's con.

Huzzah, I have more photos from Comic-Con! As always credit goes to our wonderful photographer Britt Dietz, who sticks with us every year. So today I'm posting photos from our Dr. Horrible shoot on Friday at Con. Have I ever mentioned here that I love Dr. Horrible? I don't think I ever talked about it...but yah, I got the idea over the summer and fortunately the costumes are extremely easy to do.

I was Penny and my boyfriend was Dr. Horrible (daww isn't he adorable?).

The world is a mess, and I just need to rule it! )

All those glorious curves, these magnificent bumps, this scrumptious plumpness! *faints*

And now a bit of Scribblenauts BS.

So I reach this level right, there's a narrow corridor, a vertically set trip wire that goes from the floor to the roof of the tunnel and a pit of lava after it. The starite I must get is dangling over the lava pit by a rope, and whenever I trip the wire, it breaks the rope and the starite falls in the lava. I can't possibly gun it to the starite to get it. Considering that you can spawn any item and place them anywhere you want on the map without tripping the wire, what do you do?

First thing you notice is that the lava will not respond to any freaking thing you throw at it. Not rain, not ice, not a huge boulder, not a glacier, nothing. So don't even think of making something float over it or make it harden. Next thing you try is to make a bridge for the starite to fall on, but it seems like nothing you can spawn is long enough, and I couldn't make it balance without it falling over as soon the starite fell on it. So after a while I gave up and looked it up on GameFAQs, and these were the three suggested methods to get the starite:

ANSWER 1: If you position a CAR, so it is facing to the right and sits across
the trip wire, you can get past the wire without tripping it. Make
sure there is only the smallest part of the trunk on the left hand
side of the wire. Now, touch the CAR to get in it. Get out and you
should avoid tripping the wire.

Equip a GUN and drop into the lava. Shoot the Starite and it will
drop onto Maxwell before he is killed by the lava.

ANSWER 2: Summon some GLUE. Attach it to the bottom of the tripwire. Stick
a BRIDGE LADDER to the tripwire. Make some more GLUE and put it on
the other end of the bridge. Stick a BOX to the GLUE. Now walk
through the tripwire and the Starite will be caught by your
construction. Use a CHAINSAW to break the ice.

ANSWER 3: Drop a WHALE beneath the Starite. Walk through the tripwire and the
WHALE will catch the ice block. Break the ice with a HAMMER.

The first one's an exploit, as far as I'm concerned, second is proof that the logical choices to use as a bridge are still not long enough, and the third makes no freaking sense at all; the whale doesn't fall into the lava only because it's too large to fit between the left wall and the right side of the screen D:

This game makes so much sense.

Chances are you won't know what I'm talking about so just pass over this entry.

It's a long shot, but to the person/folks who sent me an email titled "Sponsorship for Doodles" or something like that, could you send it again? It ended up in my junk mail and was deleted before I could read it! Thanks!

Tis that time of year again, folks! 'Val' (as I tend to call her) is, as most of you know, my backup writer for WCMI. She wrote a special holiday-themed drabble for us and I simply had to post it here. Too cute! Also, let it be known far and wide than November 1st is her birthday, the poor thing! Imagine having to suffer through such a day! But don't mope too much, Val...your unbirthday will be back the very next day. ;)

On a side note we are finishing up the new segments and should be updating WCMI (FINALLY) within a week or so...and no, you won't have to wait a year for another segment. ;p You won't even wait a month if everything continues to go as smoothly as it is.

Bunnies, goblins and break-ins, oh my! )
